SAVVY & PRIMEMOVER - the work force behind the festival has crossed many milestones in achieving this feat. There have been many hurdles overcome and backbreaking work involved in the process of starting the film festival, keeping it alive and programming the current edition. Our focus always remained on promoting  independent filmmaking- a format that receives very little resource assistance in the process of script to screen. With equipment and technology for filmmaking becoming more accessible, the independent filmmaker is at a great advantage indeed. However, our primary concern has always been to provide visibility to these storytellers, allowing them an audience as well as a market for their productions. We’re able to do that by bringing together this festival- an event that will witness prominent names from the Indian film industry and an enthusiastic audience along with film-buyers and distributors, hoping to create a win-win situation for the filmmaker, the buyer and the viewer.

However, through the process of putting the festival together, we were always asked how fruitful would it be to host a festival of this magnificence in a city like Ahmedabad. We always turned back and said- why not? Ahmedabad is fast growing into a super city, provides for good resources and is absolutely ready to host the glamour and debate. In fact, part of our dream was also to put the Ahmedabad city on the world cinema map and make it synonymous to the significant international film festivals.
