Artist's Impression I've had some lovely experiences with my art shows, since I started displaying them professionally a few years ago. And now with the International Film Festival of Ahmedabad, I have an exciting new reason and platform to explore my creativity. I am a huge fan of the world of the fantastic, a universe where everything magical is possible, from euphoric galaxies to animal personalities to worlds of whim and fantasy. And all this has emerged through my art and the way I depict this world inside my head. A similar soul is Anurag Kashyap, who has made his films (his artistic medium) without compromise or conformity. I have always been an admirer of Anurag Kashyap's work, right from Black Friday and Paanch to No Smoking and then Gulaal and Dev.D. Now looking forward to 'That Girl in Yellow Boots'. So when i suggested that an artistic interpretation of his films be attempted, he was enthused at the idea. There can't be a more perfect way to take my admiration for his films to the next level. Through his films, Mr.Kashyap has created a cool collage of scandalizing scenarios, strange situations, and crazy colourful characters- some based on true incidents and some born right out of his dark and fascinating mind. So it is an absolute privilege for me to splash my paints on canvas and be a part of this pathbreaking filmmaker's wild and creative journey. I'm enjoying being a co-traveller and sharing that journey.
